What Does Everyone Want?
The Jewish Marriage & Parenting Family Retreat
May 22-24, 2009
ONLY 20 COUPLES
Imagine, if you would, a nuclear submarine.
Over 20,000 tons of steel hurtling through the waters. Impressive?
That’s nothing compared to the energy and drive of a human being.
We are all balls of fire; forces of immense intensity. Yet at the same time, sensitive and ponderous, capable of the sweetest love sonnets or the quiet music that stirs the heart to peace and tranquility.
Each member of your family is this bundle of energy. When focused, capable of overwhelming beauty and achievement. But each unique, each with their own needs, loves, desires and nuances.
As men, women and even children, there’s a lot going on in there. For many, our modus-operandi is to treat them as nuclear submarines, stay well clear, for others it’s just the nagging feeling that we don’t seem to know how to connect. This is obviously frustrating and hardly the concept of family we wanted in life.
By understanding the differences between men and women, adults and children, as well as some of the uniqueness to each of us, we will so much more enjoy the people around us.
It’s a fascinating and immensely enjoyable journey and a lot more fun than the inside of a submarine.
